ANIAN makes Brunei’s water management smart with LoRaWAN

December 6, 2021 – Since the introduction of The Internet of Things (IoT), LoRaWAN™ network in Brunei Darussalam, the network has become a potential investment and brings a significant impact to Brunei Government. This allows the nation to develop a wide range of strategic uses for this technology that will help make Brunei a smart nation and more technology savvy.


ANIAN, since the formation of the company in 2019, has serve the Brunei government, its universities and private sectors with a focus on Smart Water in deploying this LoRaWAN® network to improve the city management, the environment and agriculture with integrated devices. And also had tested use cases such as river water level monitoring, waste water pumping stations, water quality and infrastructure of equipments such as pressure pipes and current meter. ANIAN provided these cost-effective solutions to tackle the traditional method of manual monitoring and implemented it using ThingPark platform by Actility and IoThink’s Kheiron application whom both are partnership with ANIAN to help clients solve and enhance their water management system and other application uses including detecting early warning of any hazardous situation and as safety precaution measurement.
